Amy is from the beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador and has been living in Ontario for the last 10 years. She currently resides in Ottawa, ON with her partner and their very loveable goldendoodle. Amy has a Bachelor of Music, a Master in Social Justice Education, and is currently completing her Master of Social Work for Working Professionals. Her research focuses on combining traditional Indigenous Healing Practices with Western Counselling Ideologies, and how they can be used together to create healing pathways for clients. She focuses on utilizing Trauma Informed Yoga, Art and Music Therapy, and mindfulness in her daily work as a Mental Health and Addiction Anti-Human Trafficking Liaison with the Ontario Native Women’s Association.
